Colored People: A Memoir by Henry Louis Gates, Jr.

Thank you to Professor Henry Louis Gates for his poignant memoir Colored People and for agreeing to be this year's Cambridge READS Author.

The book circulated over 500 times from the library. His presentation on the morning on November 12th was attended by 200 enthusiastic students and teachers from CRLS. The Author Event at Sanders Theatre later that evening was attended by over 650 people. Cambridge READS is grateful for the support of the Friends of the Library, the Harvard Bookstore, Porter Square Books, Harvard University, the students and teachers of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, and Ms. Callie Crossley.
